Cooperative Agreement Between Flight Schools Gives Aspiring Commercial Airline Pilots Access to Training and Financing
Addressing the Pilot Shortage by Training Future Pilots in New Jersey and North Carolina Year Round
MORRISTOWN, NJ, July 24, 2024 – A cooperative agreement between two flight schools in the Eastern Region will help aspiring pilots gain access to financing and flight training throughout the year. The collaboration is between Alpha Aviation, Inc., which is headquartered at Morristown Municipal Airport in Morristown, New Jersey, and D2 Flight Academy, which is based at Coastal Carolina Regional Airport in New Bern, North Carolina.
As part of the agreement, both schools will share campus resources, including airplanes. Students will now have an opportunity to train in a different region. Students from Alpha Aviation can now train and live on campus in North Carolina during the winter months. Other benefits include:
• Full-financing opportunities (Available based on eligibility).
• One-on-one Loan readiness counseling is offered.
• Multi-Engine Flight Certification Training, a prerequisite for becoming an airline pilot.
• Ratings/Certifications offered: Private, Instrument, Commercial, Certified Flight Instructor
• Access to a fleet of 14 Aircrafts including: Cessna, Piper, and Socata.
• Veteran benefits are offered

Students also get multi-engine certification options, full-financing opportunities, and so much more.”
East Orange, New Jersey resident Dashaun Galloway, 23, will soon begin flight school training at Alpha Aviation. Galloway, the son of parents who migrated to the United States from Jamaica, will be the first pilot in his family. He is the first person to receive full financing as part of this new agreement. Galloway said, King and staff at both companies were an integral part of the process of securing funding for his tuition. “It’s not often you have an opportunity to receive assistance directly from the CEO of a company. He invited my family to see the operation and make sure we’re all comfortable with where I’ll be spending my next two years. Galloway, a supervisor at an internationally recognized package delivery company, added, “It means a lot to me as somebody who aspires to take the same journey as Captain King.”
