Your Path to Success

Alpha Aviation’s Professional Development Program (AAPD) guides you through each essential step of commercial pilot training, leading you from first flight to commercial pilot certification in under 180 days.

Phase 1 – Private Pilot License (PVT)

50 Flight Hours, 20 Simulator Hours, 60 Days

Phase 2 – Instrument Rating (IR), Complex Aircraft Endorsement

50 Flight Hours, 50 Simulator Hours, 50 days
Phase 2 of the Professional Development Program introduces the aviator to complex aircraft (aircraft which requires a constant speed propeller, flaps and a retractable landing gear). In addition to complex aircraft operations, the aviator will professionally develop critical skills of flying with sole reference to flight instruments on Instrument Flight Rule (IFR) Flight Plans. Complete 50 hours of simulation instruction, 50 hours of flight instruction in a complex aircraft in 50 days. AAPD students will have the opportunity to be assigned an experienced airline pilot as a mentor at the start of Phase 2.

Phase 3 – Crew Resource Management

90 Flight Hours, 5 Simulation Hours, 30 Days
This phase of the program transitions the aviator from Singe-Pilot Resource Management (SRM) to Crew Resource Management (CRM). Professional Pilots at the airline level (or equivalent) will fly airline transport category equipment as a crew (2 or more pilots). Learn how to effectively utilize all available resources and share pilot flying/pilot monitoring duties in a synchronized, harmonious way.
