Mark Levine
A dedicated aviator and MBA, Mark Levine has been hooked on flying since he first asked for a Radio Shack scanner as a birthday gift when he was 9 years old to listen to aircraft landing at Kennedy.
Mark was a member of the Civil Air Patrol while he was in college in Binghamton, NY. As a rated scanner, observer, and senior radio operator, he was regularly involved in missions to assist other aviators or other members of the public who were in need. It was with the CAP that Mark took his first flying lessons, only flying at night for his first 20 hours (because that was when his instructor was available).
After earning his undergraduate degree, Mark worked on Wall Street for more than 10 years, an earned his MBA in Finance and Strategy from Rutgers Executive Business School. Mark went on to work in international shipping and logistics, specializing in containerized freight ocean and air transportation where he co-authored two international booking standards which are still used to this day.
Based on his experience with international standards, Mark was invited to start a new division at United Health Group, later Optum, to design a brand-new telemedicine product. Fast forward 10 years and this product was a major backbone of the fight against Covid, allowing clinicians to see their patients remotely.
After this experience, Mark began consulting for Healthcare IT companies and hospitals, acting as a subject matter expert, Six Sigma Green-Belt, and advisor to C-Suite executives.
All the while, Mark continued to fly where and when he could, building hours and earning his Instrument and Commercial-Multi ratings. Mark currently flies as a First Officer on a CJ4 and he proudly owns 3 aircraft – 2 Cessna 172’s and a 172RG Cutlass. Mark also is the Manager of Flight Operations for Alpha Aviation, based out of Morristown Municipal Airport in Morristown, NJ. Please welcome Mark Levine.
